we have 'lift off'

'the view from here' has arrived......seems like a way we can 'share life' with you while we're gone these next few weeks.....and, if anyone's interested, it might could evolve into a family blog.....a place for the eight of us (and all the 'littles' to share back and forth).  But, for now, we'll just blog about our days 'on the road' and share some of scenery as we journey into the fall.

We're not the only ones 'journeying', y' know.  The monarchs are on their pilgrimage from places north to Mexico and we read the other day that hummingbirds migrate on the backs of geese!  I was filling the 'tweeter totter' twice a day there for awhile and now it's stayed full for a week with only an occasional visitor, so I guess that migration has begun, as well.

And when you think about it, the very word 'journey' is packed with so much meaning (words ARE puzzles, y'know).....you can 'journey' into new experiences/new seasons....and we're all doing that right now, so writing about our journeys doesn't necessarily have to correspond with miles travelled......just a thought.
