settlin' in for our week with silas and cora

we got off to a good start at silas and cora's house on friday making homemade applesauce.....lotsa help....lotsa fun.....lotsa yum....yes, mom and dad, we left some for you in your fridge when we moved to our house today;)
sweet si said cora probably needed the apron more than he did....

first couple of apples I had the peeler/corer assembled incorrectly, but once "we" got it figured out, we were 'good to go'!
"Noni, is it done yet?".....the refrain sounded like 'are we there yet?'

all smiles:)

happy with his handiwork, for sure!
hey, bro, thanks f sharin' your chair!

(sorry I didn't flip this one before I put it in here....it's late....I'm pooped....)but she sure was pushing the bar stool all over the place and has been doing the same with our computer chairs, at our house, today!
New game: 'Where's Cora?' using post-it notes.  Just thought I'd let you know, mom and dad, so that if you ever see her with one stuck to her forehead you'll know whom to blame.....er, uh,...thank?

We didn't 'accomplish' anything as monumental as the applesauce on Saturday.....a more low-key day of building block towers(and crashing into them with hotwheels, scootering/strollering through the neighborhood, and making signs and reading lots of books......come to think of it, it must have been pretty 'monumental', because we all slept real well.

When 'Pop' arrived this morning at 10 a.m., needless to say there was celebrating all around.....they were all over him! Once we packed everything up and secured the homestead, we headed to Target to pick up a few items and make a stop at the Icee dispenser, of course.

It's 8:30 pm now and all's quiet.....lots of good play this afternoon, building a Lego City (that will be on-going, expect pictures!).  Silas educated us this evening on the fact that, yes, indeed, you can play with bath toys in a stall shower.......whooda known?  He doesn't understand why we have to stay up till 9:00 and can't go to bed at 7:30 like he does, but hopefully he'll get accustomed to the concept;)  So glad to have 'Pop' back from his trip to Haiti and I'm getting to hear bits and pieces around the edges and you can tell that Silas is listening in, too........sweet.
